PHASE I

Submissions & Eligibility

Fundamental requirements and frameworks establishing which cinematic works are eligible for official entry.

CRITERIA

Eligibility Scope

The festival proudly accepts submissions in the following categories from all corners of the globe:

  • Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries, & Animations
  • Experimental, Student Works, Music Videos, & Web Series
  • Original Unproduced Screenplays (all genres welcome)
  • * COMPLETED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2022

SUBTITLE

Language Requirements

Universal accessibility ensures cultural cross-pollination. To safeguard evaluation integrity:

  • Films produced in languages other than English must incorporate hardcoded or burned-in English subtitles.
  • Non-subtitled foreign language entries may be disqualified from consideration without refund.

Submission Platform

Streamlined ingestion workflows protect creators and programmers alike:

  • All official entries must be securely submitted through our exclusive curation partner, FilmFreeway.
  • Multiple entries are welcome. However, each project must be processed separately with the corresponding entry fee.

PREMIERE

Premiere Status

To maximize the global dispersion of independent craft, we support flexible premiere settings:

  • Premiere status is not mandatory for seasonal or main programming selections.
  • Films that have been previously screened elsewhere, distributed locally, or released online remain fully eligible.

COMMITTEE

Selection Process

Integrity is our absolute cornerstone. Every single submitted asset undergoes a meticulous curatorial pathway:

  • All submissions are thoroughly assessed and reviewed on artistic merit by the official festival selection committee.
  • The executive decisions of the jury, curators, and festival management are strictly final and cannot be formally challenged or contested.

Notification Workflow

Clear notification structures keep creators updated regarding status:

  • Official selections and seasonal award winners will be announced on the exact, pre-published dates available on the FilmFreeway page.
  • All filmmakers will receive prompt, official email notifications directly through the FilmFreeway interface.

RIGHTS

Screening Rights

  • By submitting, filmmakers grant the festival the temporary, non-exclusive right to screen selected works during official festival schedule periods.
  • The festival retains the right to utilize trailers, posters, production stills, and video extracts (of up to 2 minutes) for official promotional campaigns.

CLEARANCE

Submission Responsibility

  • The submitter confirms that they hold all necessary rights, legal permissions, licenses, and clearances associated with the project.
  • The festival shall not be held liable or legally responsible for any copyright, trademark, music licensing, or legal disputes arising from submitted works.

REFUND

Refund Policy

  • All submission entry fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, with zero exceptions.
  • This non-refundable protocol applies explicitly to project withdrawals, disqualifications, or non-selection of assets by the jury.

SCHEDULE

Festival Changes

  • The festival administration reserves the right to make crucial modifications to event dates, venues, or schedules when necessary.
  • Format configurations and award schedules are subject to change as dictated by force majeure conditions or operational requirements.

PROMOTION

Marketing & Promotion

  • Selected cinematic works may be prominently showcased across the official festival website, social platforms, and digital directories.
  • Stills, posters, and loglines will be utilized across official press releases, printed materials, and historical seasonal indexes.

AGREEMENT

Acceptance of Rules

  • By submitting a project through FilmFreeway, participants fully acknowledge, understand, and agree to all festival rules and regulations.
  • Agreement constitutes a legally binding commitment to protect curatorial integrity and honor independent filmmaker relations.
